Financial Controller - Hybrid Work

You could join our clients rapidly growing SaaS software company which operates on a global scale.
We're looking for a Financial Controller to be a valuable asset to the European operations.
You will play a part of the Accounting and Finance team. You will oversee and maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records for multiple countries.
Your tasks will include:
- Manage an effective month-end close process in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP standards.
- Oversee daily finance activities, including reviewing invoices, payment proposals, and bank transactions.
- Collaborate with the HR and Payroll teams in the US to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
- Perform high-quality account reconciliations for assigned areas in compliance with US SOX requirements.
- Reconcile monthly payroll journal entries, general ledger balances, system reports, and payments.
- Prepare accurate Work in Progress (WIP) reports.
- Account for foreign currency transactions and translations effectively.
- Review and reconcile VAT returns
- Prepare and file annual regulatory reports with Chambers of Commerce or other European regulatory bodies as required.
To be a good fit for the Financial Controller role you will have:
- 5+ years Experience in an international, dynamic environment
- University degree in finance or a related field
- Experience in time management, project and contract administration, and work-in-progress accounting
- Experience in recording and analyzing journal entries.
- Capable of conducting first-level reviews, including evaluating and assessing the work of others.
- Good knowledge of Excel including pivot tables
- Fluent in English and Dutch languages
Nice to have:
- Experience with Exact Globe or Oracle ERP or similar systems
- Experience with project and contract administration
